That salvation is by grace through faith and not by good works (Ephesians 2:8-9), and that God freely offers eternal life to anyone who will believe in Jesus Christ (John
3:16; Romans 6:23)
That everyone who rejects the offer of eternal life though faith in Jesus Christ will one day experience eternal judgment in hell. (Revelation 20:11-15)
In the eternal security of the true believer in Jesus Christ. (John 5:24)
That God’s will is that all believers be baptized, participating in a local church, and live in obedience to the Word of God. (Matthew 28:19-20; Hebrews 10:24-25)
Our purpose as a body of believers at Eastgate Bible Chapel is “to glorify God in all we do.” Our aim is to glorify God by making known and meaningful the
characteristics of God.
To glorify God in all we do, we will:
Exalt Christ through community, worship and praise.
Edify believers by instruction in God’s Word and equipping for service in the Church and the world.
Evangelize the lost, locally and throughout the world, by private and public proclamation of the gospel, and sending and supporting Christian workers.
Express Christ’s love by being a caring fellowship of believers and having a social concern for the world.
“Growing Together in Christ”
Growing: Growth is a sign of life. Our desire is that each person who fellowships at Eastgate Bible Chapel will experience the life of Christ in a personal way and that
the life of His body will be evident when we meet together. We also desire to see numerical growth as the Lord uses each of us to introduce others to Him.
Together: Our desire is that we might see observable growth in each person’s life as we encourage one another in our walk with the Lord. As that happens the unity of
the body will be more evident in our relationship with each other.
In Christ: The source and center of all life is Jesus Christ. He is the focus of our fellowship, the Lord of His Church, and the one to whom each of us is ultimately
It is the goal of the leadership of our fellowship to provide the diet and climate necessary for each person to be “Growing Together in Christ”. All of the activities at
Eastgate are planned with this goal in mind.

In one God, and three Persons in the Triune Godhead: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17)
In the Deity of Jesus Christ (John 1:1, 14) his virgin birth (Matthew 1:20-23) his sinless humanity
(Hebrews 4:14-15), his substitutionary death, his bodily resurrection (I Corinthians 15:3-8), his bodily
ascension to heaven, and his future return to earth. (Acts 1:11).
That the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Triune Godhead, and so He is fully God. (Matthew 28:19)
In the total depravity of mankind because of original sin (Romans 5:12), which means that no one is
able to be saved by one’s own effort, will, or works. (Titus 3:5-6)
